Project Manager in Agile Development

Description:
We would like to implement a more formalized development process on two educational projects currently underway. We are looking for a person experienced with managing iterative development projects to assist us in this transition. We believe the Agile Process is an appropriate fit for our company structure and the dynamic nature of the projects.

Responsibilities include:
1) Support current Project Manager in
      setting up project plans,
      iterative project planning,
      developing documentation and templates,
      providing project management guidance, and
      identifying staffing requirements.
2) Lead initial modeling and planning meetings with staff
3) Prepare documentation and setup appropriate tools for document distribution and use.
4) Work with developers in understanding agile methodology, roles, and responsibilities.
5) Identify appropriate testing procedures for iterative phases.

Requirements:
We are looking for a person who has....
      Successfully managed projects using the Agile Unified Process.
      5 years experience in project management.
      Bachelor's degree in a technical area of study.
      Experience managing web-based software development.
      References.
Primary preference is based on the person's relevant experience and ability to skillfully fulfill the job responsibilities.
DC metro area location is a plus.

Hours:
Flexible hours with some on-site meetings.
Hours would vary from 8 to 20 hours per week.

Company Description:
We are a small internet services company that develops public education web sites. Most of our staff work off-site but within the DC metro area. We have worked together for years. We use web-based tools and telephone for most communication with occasional company meetings at UAQA's home base in Takoma Park, MD.
